Light Work Artist-in-Residence Program

Each year Light Work invites between twelve and fifteen artists to participate in its residency program, including one artist co-sponsored by Autograph ABP and one artist commission for Urban Video Project (UVP). Artists selected for the residency program are invited to live in Syracuse for one month. They receive a $5,000 stipend, an apartment to stay in, a private digital studio, a private darkroom, and 24-hour access to our facility. Applications are open to all artists working in photography or image-based media. This call has an entry fee of $10.
The Studios at MASS MoCA Residency Program

The Studios is MASS MoCA’s artist and writers residency program situated within the museum’s factory campus and surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Operated by MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists department, the residency runs year-round and hosts up to 10 artists at a time. Artists of any nationality can apply for stays of 2-8 weeks. Made in VA 2022: Annual Juried Exhibition

Virginia MOCA continues its celebration of regional artists through our annual juried exhibition, Made in VA, now in its 26th year. We find our roots in a concerned and connected artist community. We remain committed to keeping close ties with the talented artists who live close to our doors.
Last year, New Waves became Made in VA. The exhibition reasserted our commitment to Virginia artists. We invite the talented contemporary artists found in the Commonwealth to continue this momentum.
This call has a $35 entry fee.
Summer Serendipity Call for Art
Johns Creek, Georgia

The Johns Creek Arts Center is seeking submissions for Summer Serendipity 2022, an annual multi-media art exhibition on view August 20 – September 10, 2022. This juried, onsite exhibition is open to the public and will be presented live at the Johns Creek Arts Center as well as displayed virtually in the online gallery. Artists 18 and over may enter up to three works for a single, non-refundable entry fee of $35. Cash awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, as well as several sponsor awards. A Mayor’s Award and 2 Honorable Mentions will also be awarded.
Short Shorts Festival at Whitespace Gallery

After a two-year hiatus, the Short Shorts Festival at Whitespace Gallery in Atlanta GA returns for its seventh iteration and the second juried by Atlanta artist and Welch School of Art & Design director Joe Peragine. The title, Jiffy Louvre II: Leave Worry Behind (Again), is a mash-up of high (the Louvre, the museum of museums) and low (Jiffy Lube, purveyors of the drive- through lube job whose slogan is “leave worry behind”). VAE Raleigh | Collaborative Curatorial Fellowship

The selected Fellow (or collaborative team) will be awarded a $5,000 stipend to spend six months building their own creative project with the full support of VAE’s staff, board, resources, and network. In addition to their stipend, the Fellow will have a $5,000 budget to produce their project, pay artists and steering committee members, and create programming.
This program aims to equitably pay creative individuals for their time and artistry while exposing them to VAE’s way of creating programming, with the community, rather than simply for the community. The ultimate goal is to create a diverse community of past Fellows who become leaders in the arts community and continue to advocate for equitable pay structures and community collaboration throughout their successful careers.
Living Walls: Laura Patricia Calle Grant

This $15,000 grant is all-inclusive, meaning that the awardee is expected to lead the entirety of the production, including but not limited to artist fees, hiring assistants, and acquiring materials and equipment. While Living Walls can provide guidance, the selected project will be artist-driven.
Spruill’s Annual Outdoor Art Installation Award

Spruill Center for the Arts and Spruill Gallery announce the Open Call for submissions for the 3rd Annual AMPLIFY outdoor installation project. This project is aimed at elevating a sense of community and seeks to connect people through art, as well as promoting local, regional and national artists.
The AMPLIFY artist whose proposal is selected will install their design on the historic “Smoke House” at the Spruill Gallery grounds in Atlanta, Georgia. The installation site is in a high visibility area in the ever-growing and expanding Atlanta Perimeter Business District.
The project will be unveiled on October 15, 2022 at the annual Spirits for Spruill event.
Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants

Seeds Annual Juried Exhibition

Westobou Gallery presents Seeds, the eighth annual juried exhibition of small works priced at an affordable $300 or less. The show features a variety of local and regional artists working with various mediums and a variety of styles. The purpose of this exhibition is to sell work to build a community of art supporters and collectors. 10-12 applicants will be selected by this year’s juror, artist Andrea Clark, to display their small works in Westobou Gallery.
ON::View Residency Program at Sulfur Studios

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at Sulfur Studios, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. Applications are now open for May – August 2023, and are due by December 10th, 2022 at 11:59 pm. Applicants will be notified by January 10th, 2023. There is a $50 application fee.
Call for 2D and Clay Studio Teaching Artists at Space One Eleven

Space One Eleven is offering paid part-time teaching positions to artists with previous teaching experience for our Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. Our program now has two different studio classes for 9th through 12th graders. The 2D and Clay Studio classes are Space One Eleven’s rigorous studio art program for young artists designed to build visual communication skills and foster creative thinking. Eyebeam Center for the Future of Journalism

Artists and artist-journalist teams can apply for grants to support topical work. Those with longer-term, research-intensive projects are also eligible. Grants range from $500–$5,000 per project.
Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant

These monthly grants range from $500–$3,000, with the average amount being $1,700. Visual and performing artists whose work has a contemporary, experimental nature and who have a US Tax ID Number can apply.
Nancy Norton Tomasko Scholarship

The Nancy Norton Tomasko Scholarship fund is dedicated to providing financial support for individuals wishing to learn more about the book arts. The Center will award scholarships covering the full tuition and materials for one course per individual. Awardees are selected based on financial need and proof of having satisfied the prerequisites for the desired course. Please fill out and submit the following form at least three weeks before the start date of the workshop to be considered for financial assistance.
ARTNOIR Jar of Love Fund

The Jar of Love Fund is a microgrant initiative intended to provide relief for artists, curators, and cultural workers of color, launched in response to these unprecedented times of uncertainty and unrest and the subsequent adverse impact on our community.
