
Sloss Metal Arts, Visiting Artist in Residence

This program is designed for professional artists interested in further developing their studio practice and honing technical skills. Visiting Artists will be provided with a furnished apartment near Sloss Furnaces, a living stipend, materials budget, sand and iron, and 24-hour studio access. Visiting Artists are expected to have a final exhibition at the conclusion of their residency. One piece from the exhibition is to be donated to Sloss’ permanent collection. These works are exhibited on rotation throughout Sloss’ historic campus.
2026 Mentored Woodworking Residency with Doug Stowe

The Eureka Springs School of the Arts is looking for practicing woodworkers and craftspeople seeking focused time to refine their abilities, create new work, and expand their knowledge in a Mentored Residency under Master Woodcrafter, Doug Stowe. This will be a participant driven mentorship where you can ask for guidance on woodworking topics of your choice and gain the skills to forge your own individual path as a craftsperson.
Forge Project Fellowship 2026

The Forge Project Fellows represent a broad diversity of cultural practices, participatory research, organizing models, and geographical contexts that honor Indigenous pasts as well as build Native futures. Each Forge Project Fellow will receive $25,000 USD toward their practice and will have full access to the Forge Project site, libraries, and lending collection of living Indigenous artists during their fellowship. 2026 Fellows will also have the opportunity to present their work to the local Forge Project audience on site as well as a wider international audience via social media. Applicants must be an enrolled member, citizen, or descendant with verification from the enrollment office of a state or federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native corporation, or of Native Hawaiian ancestry, a Canadian First Nations (status or non-status), Métis or Inuit to apply for the 2026 Forge Project Fellowship. At least two Fellows will come from the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians.
ON::VIEW Artist Residency Program

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at ARTS Southeast, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, the district’s main thoroughfare, allowing the artist’s work to be on view to the community at all times. Visitors and passersby on the sidewalk witness the artist’s process as it unfolds in real time, seeing all the steps involved from concept to final execution. Community events like workshops, performances, public art projects and artist talks offer creative ways to interact with the public. The ON::View Residency supports artists from across the globe, working in all media. There is a $50 application fee.
2026 Spring/Summer Ceramics Artist Residency Program

This is an opportunity to be inspired by the incredible natural beauty and unique culture of the Ozark Mountains. Selected residents are provided access to ESSA studios, on-campus lodging, an opportunity (not required) to sell their work at a closing reception, and other benefits.
Virginia A. Groot Material Exploration Residency – Center for Craft

The Virginia A. Groot Material Exploration Residency at the Center for Craft is an eight-week visiting artist residency in Asheville, North Carolina, that provides four residents the time to develop their work, access to new materials, facilitated shared learning experiences, and a $10,000 honorarium. This unique opportunity will connect the artists-in-residence with makers and resources in Western North Carolina to enhance their practice, develop reciprocal relationships, and expand their networks. Each resident will select a local craft organization to partner with in exploring a new material. Residents each receive a $10,000 honorarium; accommodations in Asheville for the duration of the residency; daily access (8 am to 10 pm) to an approximately 200-square-foot workspace and shared studio resources; a Flex Desk pass at Cowork at Center for Craft; and a facilitated partnership with a regional craft space.

These fellowships recognize and reward the artistic achievements of South Carolina’s exceptional individual artists. Six $10,000 grants will be awarded to practicing individual artists living in South Carolina working within the disciplines of prose; spoken word/slam poetry; performance; playwriting/screenwriting/libretto writing; folklife/traditional arts; and media arts.

Writers, artists, graphic designers, and creatives of all walks of life are welcome, even part-time creative peeps, and are encouraged to coordinate your time in this supportive environment. Escape the fast-pace world into a farm and forestry region where you’ll have access to 17-acres with a variety of habitat from meadow to bamboo grove to river to forest; furnished housing; space to work; and interactions with the camp donkeys, chickens & roosters, camp cats, two farm dogs, and peacocks. Program options include 1, 2, or 3 weeks; with a month or longer option, such as for sabbatical, available based on additional review after application. There is a $20.26 entry fee, residency fee ($450-900) and lodging fee ($250-1,000).
