West End Placemaking Project

The City of Atlanta’s Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA), the Department of City Planning (DCP), and West End Neighborhood Development (WEND) are seeking creative professional artists to propose designs for two street murals.


Terremoto x Ubisoft Art Residency

Location: Cary, NC

Ubisoft and Terremoto are happy to announce the launch of an artistic residency at Red Storm Entertainment, located in Cary, North Carolina, to take place in the spring of 2020. This partnership offers an unprecedented access to vanguard technologies that are seldom available to emerging artists in Latin America. 

In order to select an artist for this inaugural program, we are looking for applications from Latin American and Caribbean artists, as well as U.S. born artists identifying as Latinx. Minimum age to apply is 21 and preference will be given to emerging and mid-career practitioners demonstrating a trajectory that confirms the viability of the project proposed for the residency.


Guild Hall Artist Residency

Location: East Hampton, New York
Deadline: December 12, 2019

This residency is designed for early or mid-career artists to focus on their practice. The program supports artists with free living space in the 19th century Guild House, and a paid stipend.


Burning Man Global Art Grant

Application Due: December 18, 2019

The Global Art Grant supports highly interactive, community-driven works of art that prioritize community involvement in their development, execution, and display. The grants range between $500 and $10,000, and they most commonly award between $3,000 and $6,000.


MASS MoCA Studio Residency

Location: North Adams, MA
Deadline: January 8, 2019

Artists receive a private studio, housing, meals, and financial and business coaching through the staff of MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program.


Joshua Tree Highlands Residency

Location: Joshua Tree National Park, California
Deadline: January 10, 2019

This residency fosters creativity through opportunities for exploring, experimenting, quiet reflection, engagement and cross-cultural exchange with the vibrant local artist community. Artists are supported with a $1,000 stipend, plus living accommodations and studio space.


Women’s Studio Workshop Parent Residency Grant

Location: Kingston, NY
Application due: January 15, 2020

The Parent Grant is a four-week residency for an artist with at least one dependent child under the age of 18. Artists may choose to work in any of our studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics.


Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant

Deadline: Rolling Basis

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts offers Emergency Grants between $200 and $2,500 for visual and performing artists. They review applications once a month, so you can quickly take advantage of momentum or solve any budget errors.


Gottlieb Emergency Grant Program

Deadline: Rolling Basis

This emergency grant provides financial assistance to painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation.


Rhizome Microgrant Program

Location: New York, NY
Application Due: rolling basis

The microgrant program awards $500–$1,500 to proposals with a compelling vision for net art considering political radicalization and the internet.
