Lavender Lens’ Queer Animation Night

This Queer Animation night aims to celebrate and empower queer voices and artists through animation, showcasing films that create awareness, highlight joy & community and inspire advocacy. They will have a panel discussion after the screening about your films. You are totally welcome to opt out, just make sure you indicate that when submitting in the form. All films submitted should be 15 minutes max and no minimum. They will be played similar to a film festival shorts block. Your films should positively represent the Queer/LGBTQ+/Trans community and/or be made by a Queer filmmaker.


VMFA Aaron Siskind Award for Photography

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to announce the establishment of the VMFA Aaron Siskind Award for excellence in contemporary photography. This award is intended to support early- to mid-career artists as well as established photographers who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to their practice but may not yet have received significant critical recognition. Two artists will each receive an unrestricted prize of $25,000.


Corsicana Funded 2025 Artist and Writer Residency

Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency offers the application below for fully-funded accommodations in live-work studio residencies at 100 West in historic downtown Corsicana, Texas. Two-month residency terms take place in Winter, Spring and Fall 2025. Applicants are notified by October 1, 2024 if their application has been accepted, waitlisted, or not accepted. Selected applicants who commit to a residency term in 2025 are responsible for a $200 program fee to the residency by November 1, 2024. Travel and meal stipends are not available. Residents are expected to participate in the following public and education programs: 1) Open Studio: hosted on the final Saturday of residency term from 12 – 4 PM. 2) Presentation: 20-minutes, artists deliver projected image / video / slideshow of past, current work. Writers deliver readings. Private artist studios at 100 West are 2,400 square feet and include complete living accommodations with personal bathroom sink and lavatory. The kitchen, dining, living room and shower room are shared between three residents on the second-floor.

This call has a $30 application fee.


Creative Residency at Bloedel Reserve

Open to professional and emerging artists, composers, writers, botanists, landscape architects, researchers, and others exploring the themes of nature and the human connection with nature, the Creative Residency at Bloedel Reserve offers Residents a three week stay at a 140-acre internationally renowned public garden and forest preserve.


“Passing Through” Juried Exhibition

One passes through life, through time, and through doors and passageways. What have they seen? What have they missed? What have they experienced along the way? This is a call for a juried group exhibition at GCAA ArtWorks Gallery, 5546 1st Ave. N., St. Petersburg FL 33710. A loose interpretation of the theme will be accepted, as well as all media including sculpture. Up to three works per artist will be considered. Maximum size 30×40 in.


Small Works Exhibition

1858 Prize

The Gibbes Museum and Society 1858’s Prize for Contemporary Southern Art is awarded to an artist whose work contributes to a new understanding of art in the South. Presented annually, the Prize recognizes the highest level of artistic achievement and welcomes applications from artist working across any media. Artists who reside, work in, or are from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia are encouraged and eligible to apply. Previous winners have subsequently received awards from the Joan Mitchell Fellowship, the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. Additionally, winning artists’ work has been received into the permanent collections of The National Gallery of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Gibbes Museum of Art.


Catapult Development Grant

Launched in 2010, the Catapult Development Fund provides early-stage support to documentary filmmakers when funding is hardest to find. Catapult has two funding cycles per year, with application deadlines in the winter and summer. In 2025, we will offer fifteen (15) grants of up to $25,000 USD to filmmakers in development with a documentary feature or short. We do not support docuseries at this time. Our flagship program is geared toward independent filmmakers who have a strong story to tell, have secured access, and are ready to unlock critical production funding. This grant can be used for a variety of development needs and must result in the creation of a fundraising piece as the final deliverable. We prioritize artful, moving storytelling and are not tied to any specific social issue agenda.


ART CALL | Orange County Multicultural Senior Center

The Orange County Public Art Review Board is inviting applications from individual artists or artist teams to create artwork for the Orange County Multicultural Senior Center, located in the established suburb of Pine Hills.

The Multicultural Senior Center will serve as a welcoming and comfortable gathering space for the Pine Hills residents, who have long been dedicated advocates of community unity. The center will provide a relaxing environment for hosting programs, workshops, games, and craft activities, as well as active offerings such as Zumba. Additionally, the facility will include an event hall, enabling seniors to host meals and celebrations. The opportunities for engagement and community building are extensive.


The Hodder Fellowship

The Hodder Fellowship will be given to artists and writers of exceptional promise to pursue independent projects at Princeton University during the academic year. Potential Hodder Fellows are composers, choreographers, performance artists, visual artists, writers, translators, or other kinds of artists or humanists who have “much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts”; they are selected more “for promise than for performance.” Given the strength of the applicant pool, most successful Fellows have published a first book or have similar achievements in their own fields; the Hodder is designed to provide Fellows with the “studious leisure” to undertake significant new work.


Ocala First Friday Art Walk 2025-2026

The City of Ocala is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 First Friday Art Walk season. Visual artists, performing artists, art organizations, and community sponsors are invited to participate in this downtown Ocala event. The First Friday Art Walk takes place the first Friday of each month, October through May from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. celebrating local artists and businesses. First Friday Art Walk is a free event located within Ocala’s Historic Downtown.


The Hambidge Center Spring 2025 Residency

Open now for Spring 2025 residencies running from February through May 2025, the Hambidge Center provides a creative residency program that empowers talented individuals—from all over the country and the world—to experiment, develop, and produce their work. Situated on 600 acres in the mountains of north Georgia, Hambidge is a sanctuary of time and space available to visual artists, writers, musicians, dancers, ceramicists, scientists, chefs, and arts administrators. The residency fee is $250 per week and Hambidge offers several merit-based Distinguished Fellowships which remove the fees for a two-week residency and provide a $700 stipend. Available Distinguished Fellowships vary from session to session and are listed in each session’s application. Unless otherwise noted, they are reserved for first-time residents. Applications for residency are judged primarily on the quality of submitted work samples and professional promise.


Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Residencies

The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) provides time and space for national and international writers, visual artists, and composers of talent and promise to bring forth their finest works, because the arts are vital, diversity is a strength, and creativity is essential. Selected artists come to VCCA’s Mt. San Angelo in Amherst, Virginia or the Moulin à Nef in Auvillar, France for intense periods of creative work, free from the distractions of day-to-day life. During residencies lasting anywhere from a week to two months, VCCA Fellows enjoy private studios, private bedrooms, and meals. Whether sequestered in the rolling foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains or on the banks of the Garonne River in Southwest France, VCCA Fellows can work in concentrated solitude, then re-energize in the company of other artists.


The Luminary 2026 Residency

The Luminary 2026 Residency Open Call is a nationally recognized, research-driven initiative supporting emerging and mid-career artists, curators, and critics in developing new work. It offers an intensive two-week residency designed to foster focused inquiry and meaningful engagement with the cultural landscape of St. Louis.

The program emphasizes a two-fold approach to research: providing artists dedicated time to pursue new lines of inquiry within their practice, while encouraging deep immersion in St. Louis’s vibrant arts community through exploration, dialogue, and relationship-building. Residents are supported with spacious housing, financial resources, and structured opportunities for public engagement, creating a collaborative environment where creative development and national artistic discourse intersect.


Sacatar Open Call for Fellowships

ON::View Artist 2025 Residency Program

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at ARTS Southeast’s flagship project, Sulfur Studios, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. Just blocks east of the Residency Studio, the 5th Dimension Apartment features a full kitchen, bath and main room to comfortably house the Artist (+1 guest if requested) for month-long Residency stays. The 5th Dimension Apartment has a private gated entrance and plenty of space to create, lounge and entertain. It is ARTS Southeast’s hope that by providing lodging for ON::View Artists that they will accommodate a diverse range of creatives from far and wide, as we continue to fulfill our mission to make Savannah a destination for the arts.

Athenaeum Solo or Group Show 2024-2025

The Athenaeum Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia exhibits visual arts created solely by artists living or working in the region and strives to present visitors with a wide variety of excellent art and unique experiences. In addition to the shows curated by the Gallery Director, the Athenaeum Gallery invites artists and curators to submit show proposals. Artists who live or work in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia may submit a proposal for a solo show.


Edgar Heap of Birds Family Artist Residency

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Tyler School of Art and Architecture invites applications for a spring 2026 residency in the Art Department, which encompasses undergraduate and graduate programs in Ceramics, Fibers and Material Studies, Glass, Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. The residency duration is flexible, ranging from one to five months, and will be scheduled within the spring 2026 semester (January–May 2026) based on the selected artist’s availability.

The residency will be awarded to an artist whose work is primarily focused on the history and lived experience of North American federally recognized tribal citizens and who exemplifies the art and activism of the artist Edgar Heap of Birds in bringing attention to the lives, struggles and triumphs of Native Americans.


The Big Tiny Show

The Big Tiny Show is a national juried exhibition of small 2D works, opening Friday, November 14, 2025. It will include works from established and emerging artists, in a variety of subject matter, media, and expression. All artists aged 18+, living in any region of the United States, are encouraged to apply. First, second, and third place cash awards will be given, as well as (1) six-month gallery contract.

The focus of the Big Tiny Show is to celebrate the power of delightfully tiny original art. Each authentic work of art has a unique story that they’re excited to share with their clients. It is their aim to make these tiny, but mighty, original works accessible to anyone and everyone.


Atlanta Artadia Awards

Artadia is a nonprofit grantmaker and nationwide community of visual artists, curators, and patrons. The Artadia Awards provide contemporary visual artists living or working in Atlanta with financial support and exposure. Three artists will receive unrestricted funds of $10,000, and one artist will receive the Marciano Artadia Award of $25,000. Honorariums will also be provided to Finalists.

Free to apply and open to all visual artists living and working within Barrow, Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Morgan, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Rockdale, Spalding, and Walton Counties for at least two years. The application is open through October 1st, 11:59pm ET.
