McColl Center’s Artist-in-Residence Program for Winter-Spring 2025 sparks artistic growth for emerging and mid-career artists. MOCA GA 2024-2025 Working Artist Program

The Working Artist Project (WAP) is a year-long fellowship program facilitated by The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA). The program was created by MOCA GA to champion established visual artists of merit who are based in the Atlanta metropolitan region. Each year, a guest curator selects three of our best and brightest to receive a solo exhibition, promotion, a studio apprentice (in support of emerging artists in the Atlanta Community), a full-color catalogue, and a $15,000 stipend to create work over the course of the year. As we prepare for transition to a brand new facility, the 2024/2025 Working Artist Project exhibitions will be hosted in an interim location, providing a unique opportunity for flexibility and community partnerships.
Great Meadows Foundation Artist Professional Development Grants

Grants promote the growth and development of visual art by helping improve the critical skills, resources, knowledge, and connections of artists. Applicants must reside in the Great Meadows Foundation region, which encompasses the 120 counties of Kentucky, and the Greater Louisville area of Clark and Floyd counties in Indiana. 2025 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Visual Arts and Curatorial Work

The Vilcek Foundation will award three Prizes for Creative Promise of $50,000 each to young, immigrant visual artists, and three Prizes for Creative Promise of $50,000 each to young, immigrant curators who demonstrate outstanding early achievement in their field.
Stove Works Residency
Chattanooga, TN

This residency invites eight artists to live and work for one to three months at a time in Chattanooga, TN. Six of the studios are designed to accommodate artists who require significant space in their practice, while the remaining two accommodate non-object based practices, i.e. writers, curators, and academics.

2027 Stove Works Guest Curators Program
Chattanooga, TN

Stove Works and a panel of outside Jurors select two Guest Curators to curate shows in the main gallery space for their 2026 season. The Guest Curators will be provided a Curator’s Fee, an exhibition budget, and support from Stove Works staff.
Additionally, Guest Curators are invited to participate in the Stove Works Residency program for 1-3 months leading up to and during the exhibition. If they choose to participate in the residency, their stay must occur in the month of the exhibition opening at the very least.
Prairie Ronde Artist Residency

Prairie Ronde Artist Residency offers 5–6 week residencies providing artists with a $2,000 stipend, $500 travel grant, private housing, and opportunities to engage with the historic 420,000-square-foot former Lee Paper Company mill and its 80-acre property. Three sessions are hosted annually, accepting 2–4 residents per session. Residents are encouraged to share their work with the community through exhibitions, workshops, or performances. Fee: $25.
Women’s Studio Workshop Studio Workspace Residency

FERRARA SHOWMAN GALLERY proudly hosts the 28th iteration of their annual call for artists – NO DEAD ARTISTS: International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Art. Exhibition participants are selected by an ever-changing group of three prestigious arts professionals and is open to local, national, and international applicants. The exhibition itself is installed in the gallery for the entire month of September and first-half of October with an opening reception in conjunction with the Arts District New Orleans’ First Saturday Gallery Openings in September 2024 from 5-9 pm.

Nest Heritage Craft Prize

Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists

The Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists is an annual $10,000 grant awarded to provide critical support to Black trans women whose work has often been under-recognized in the visual art field. Now in its 5th year, the Illuminations Grant was developed and named in partnership with Mariette Pathy Allen, Aaryn Lang, and Serena Jara. Winning artists and finalists will receive additional professional development resources and further guidance to bolster their creative development in the field.
Loghaven Artist Residency

Artists working in Writing, Visual Arts, Dance, Theater, Music Composition, Architecture, and Interdisciplinary Work can apply to receive room and board and an $850 weekly living stipend to support the creation of new work during a residency. Artists live in five historic log cabins that have been both rehabilitated and modernized to create an ideal setting for reflection and work, and they have access to new, purpose-built studio space.
Azule Artist Residency Mountain Retreat

As an emerging community-based organization, Azule has developed a residency program for performers, writers, architects, builders, musicians, and artists of all types. Located on 35 rural acres in Western North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Azule’s facility is the result of decades of work by local craftsmen, using predominantly locally harvested or reused materials and constructed with traditional techniques. Artists must be 18 years old or older to apply, with international applicants eligible to participate in the residency.
A.I.R. Studio Paducah Residencies

These residencies are open to visual artists, composers, architects, improvisational dancers, poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. Residents are provided with a private efficiency apartment and studio space, located in the Lower Town Arts District of Paducah, Kentucky, six blocks from the Ohio River. The cost of the residency is $700 for two weeks and $1,000 per month. Admissions are made on a rolling basis.
