Sidney Pettice

Sidney Pettice is a curator and writer originally from North Carolina, currently based in the South Georgia area at the Albany Museum of Art as Curator of African Collections and African American Art. Throughout her career, Pettice has focused on the expansion and documentation of Black history, culture, and vernacular through extensive writings and research on Black American artists, writers, and cultural critics. Most recently, she has conducted archival research and organizational projects for artist Lorraine O’Grady as well as the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art and continues her work at the AMA focusing on engagement with Southern Artists.
