We met with Atlanta Contemporary curator Daniel Fuller to hear about the shows that are on view through August 7. Dapper Bruce LaFitte has filled a gallery with vibrant and compositionally packed marker drawings that illustrate the school marching bands of his native New Orleans. Eight artists (Danielle Dean, Bessie Harvey, Nancy Lupo, Jeanine Oleson, Lili Reynaud-Dewar, Chloe Seibert, Hayley Silverman, and Martine Syms) relay experiences of the American South through sculpture, installation, and video in the exhibition “It Can Howl,” and Atlata’s own Michi Meko has an atrium installation on display until November.
