Opening to the public on Saturday, “State of the Art” at Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, Arkansas, is the culmination of several years’ worth of studio visits to 170 cities in 44 states. Co-curator Chad Alligood describes the show as “a call to action.” It featuring 102 artists, many of whom are accomplished and successful in their communities, but who deserve wider recognition.
