Process: Lauren Michelle Peterson, “on Going”

Sorry, looks like no contributors are set

We hung out with Lauren Michelle Peterson as she readied for her MINT Leap Year Solo Exhibition, titled “on Going.” Her project involved sweeping the sidewalks of Little Five Points for 24 hours, in three-hour increments over eight weeks. Inside the gallery, she will display a Nancy Rubinsesque sculpture made of “devalued objects,” along with other related works. Peterson recently received her MFA from Georgia State University.

The show opens on Friday, September 30, from 6 to 9pm at the Flatiron Building at 84 Peachtree Center Ave.

MINT’s Leap Year program provides three emerging artists per year with studio space, mentors, exhibition support, a solo exhibition, and more.
