Ming Joi Washington

Ming Joi was born prematurely and remains ahead of her time. Trained at Spelman College, she is a poet and curator concerned with Black cultural traditions. Her forthcoming choreo-poem, “Sister Suffragists” will bring Black women writers of the Civil War and Reconstruction Eras to stage this Spring.
