Kevarney is a Black Jamaican research scholar, writer, visual artist, art historian, and curator. As a research scholar and writer, his work primarily focuses on Black history, philosophy, culture, art, and political thought, with a specific emphasis on Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. His multidisciplinary visual arts practice employs an array of materials and techniques—including mixed media installations, assemblage, painting, collage, film, and digital media—to explore the Black experience within the postcolonial Caribbean context.
