Karla Méndez is an arts and culture writer from Sarasota, Florida, but currently moving between the coasts. Her work is rooted in examining the self-representation of Black and Latin American womxn in visual art, poetry, and performance. She has written for the Boston Art Review, Black Women Radical’s Voices in Movement, Elephant Magazine, Ampersand Journal, and the Brown Art Review.
