Presented by NADA and Knight Foundation, ECOLOGIES is a series of public programming, performances and private convenings developed in partnership with Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), CULTURED, and Cultural Counsel.
The panel discussion, “There is no Center: Art Criticism from Coast to Coast,” will include four of RAP’s cofounders. As mainstream publications sideline or erase arts and culture coverage, Regional Art Publishers—an alliance spanning diverse art ecosystems—formed in 2025 around a core belief: there are no centers, only hubs. We discuss how independent publishers build mutual support networks, examine the state of writing rooted in local ecosystems, and charts where these publications go from here. Featuring Brandon Zech (Glasstire), Jameson Johnson (Boston Art Review), Lindsay Preston Zappas (Contemporary Art Review Los Angeles), moderated by Brandon Sheats (Burnaway).
