Corsicana Funded 2025 Artist and Writer Residency

Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency offers the application below for fully-funded accommodations in live-work studio residencies at 100 West in historic downtown Corsicana, Texas. Two-month residency terms take place in Winter, Spring and Fall 2025. Applicants are notified by October 1, 2024 if their application has been accepted, waitlisted, or not accepted. Selected applicants who commit to a residency term in 2025 are responsible for a $200 program fee to the residency by November 1, 2024. Travel and meal stipends are not available. Residents are expected to participate in the following public and education programs: 1) Open Studio: hosted on the final Saturday of residency term from 12 – 4 PM. 2) Presentation: 20-minutes, artists deliver projected image / video / slideshow of past, current work. Writers deliver readings. Private artist studios at 100 West are 2,400 square feet and include complete living accommodations with personal bathroom sink and lavatory. The kitchen, dining, living room and shower room are shared between three residents on the second-floor.

Tucker Arts Alliance Fall 2024 Call for Art

Tucker Arts Alliance is excited to announce a curated show at the Tucker Library running from October 12 – December 6, 2024! This will take place during the upcoming early voting and regular election day for the November 2024 election cycle that will drive potentially 30,000 voters into the library. The show will be on display at the Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library,  5234 Lavista Road, Tucker, Georgia. Tucker Arts Alliance is looking for original 2D artwork only and no larger than 40 in. x 40 in, including any framing. All mediums are welcome, no prints of work, digital or AI. All work must belong to the artist submitting. Photography is welcome.


2025 Brightwork Fellowship

 The Brightwork Fellowship is a studio-based residency providing a 500+ square-foot studio space at Anchorlight, a solo exhibition opportunity in our gallery, and an unrestricted financial award of $50,000.00 to one North Carolina based artist per year who is at a pivotal moment in their career. Applicants must have resided in North Carolina full-time for a minimum of one year (12 consecutive months) at the time of their application submission and, if selected, commit to residing in North Carolina for the duration of the Fellowship.

Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Summer 2025 Residencies

Residencies can be transformative to an artist’s process and the effect on an artist’s career profound. A residency at VCCA gives artists the time and space to explore and go deeper into their work. Away from the constraints of “the real world” and in an accepting environment of talented peers, one can dream and create with the feeling that anything is possible. VCCA’s Mt. San Angelo location in Amherst, Virginia, typically hosts 360 artists each year in residencies of varying lengths (no minimum; up to six weeks) with flexible scheduling. A residency at Mt. San Angelo includes a private bedroom with private en-suite bath, a private individual studio, three prepared meals a day, and access to a community of more than 20 other artists in residence. VCCA Fellows are selected by peer review on the basis of professional achievement or promise of achievement in their respective fields.

At the Moulin à Nef residency, VCA hosts four Fellows at a time for residencies in the medieval village of Auvillar. These fellowships are available to VCCA Fellows and specially invited French artists.

The Hambidge Center Spring 2025 Residency

Open now for Spring 2025 residencies running from February through May 2025, the Hambidge Center provides a creative residency program that empowers talented individuals—from all over the country and the world—to experiment, develop, and produce their work. Situated on 600 acres in the mountains of north Georgia, Hambidge is a sanctuary of time and space available to visual artists, writers, musicians, dancers, ceramicists, scientists, chefs, and arts administrators. The residency fee is $250 per week and Hambidge offers several merit-based Distinguished Fellowships which remove the fees for a two-week residency and provide a $700 stipend. Available Distinguished Fellowships vary from session to session and are listed in each session’s application. Unless otherwise noted, they are reserved for first-time residents. Applications for residency are judged primarily on the quality of submitted work samples and professional promise.


ON::View Artist 2025 Residency Program

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at ARTS Southeast’s flagship project, Sulfur Studios, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. Just blocks east of the Residency Studio, the 5th Dimension Apartment features a full kitchen, bath and main room to comfortably house the Artist (+1 guest if requested) for month-long Residency stays. The 5th Dimension Apartment has a private gated entrance and plenty of space to create, lounge and entertain. It is ARTS Southeast’s hope that by providing lodging for ON::View Artists that they will accommodate a diverse range of creatives from far and wide, as we continue to fulfill our mission to make Savannah a destination for the arts.

McColl Center Summer 2025 Parent + Educator Artists-in-Residence

Summer Artist-in-Residence Program is offered to parents and educators who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in McColl Center residency because of their responsibilities during school/university periods. This residency will support their practices, give you the chance to bring your family with you, use the facilities, and equipment offered by the Center on our Labs. Artists may work in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, written or spoken word, or interdisciplinary practices.


Decatur Artway Phase VIII Call

The Decatur Artway kicks off another year as Decatur’s outdoor gallery, featuring dynamic sculptures scattered throughout the city of Decatur. Sculptures will be displayed on temporary loan for two years, creating an engaging rotating collection of public art around town. An interactive online map will permit public engagement and increase accessibility, and a plaque at each installation site will detail information about the artist and the sculpture. Selected artists will be awarded an honorarium of $2,000. The installed work may be available for sale. Artwork sold as a result of the Decatur Artway will be subject to a 20% commission, which will be deducted from the purchase price and retained by the Decatur Arts Alliance.

McColl 2025 Benefit Art Auction

McColl Center hosts Benefit Art Auction, our annual fundraiser bringing together artists, art lovers, and collectors in support of McColl Center’s artist-centered programs. Benefit Art Auction 2025 will take place from Thursday, February 13 to Saturday, February 22, with a live auction on the final evening. This vibrant celebration offers a unique opportunity to connect artists with collectors through the sale of artworks. In honor of McColl Center’s 25 years of nurturing artistic talent and establishing Charlotte as a world-class creative city, all selected works will be featured in a printed catalog and available for bidding both in person and online. Participating artists are eligible to receive up to 50% commission on the sale of their pieces, with proceeds benefiting McColl Center’s ongoing efforts to foster artistic growth and innovation. McColl Center invites visual artists to submit up to three works for consideration in the auction.


Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts 2024 National Juried Exhibition

Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts seeks work for two one-month-long exhibitions in our featured gallery space. A Penny in Your Pocket is a two-part exhibition. Part I will be in January, opening to the public on First Friday, January 3rd, and Part II will be on view in February beginning First Friday, February 7th. Carrying a penny in your pocket into the new year is alleged to bring good fortune and prosperity and we are interested in interpretations of what this means to you, other superstitions that are meaningful in your life or practice, or even new works that are being sent out into the world for exhibition for the first time 2025. The works included in this exhibition will be kicking off the exhibitions for 2025, an auspicious start to the 2025 Arrowmont Gallery in Knoxville exhibition calendar.

Artadia Atlanta Awards

The Artadia Awards provide contemporary visual artists living or working in Atlanta with financial support and exposure. Three artists will receive unrestricted funds of $10,000, and one artist will receive the Marciano Artadia Award of $25,000. Honorariums will also be provided to Finalists.


Azule Artist Residency Mountain Retreat

As an emerging community-based organization, Azule has developed a residency program for performers, writers, architects, builders, musicians, and artists of all types. Located on 35 rural acres in Western North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Azule’s facility is the result of decades of work by local craftsmen, using predominantly locally harvested or reused materials and constructed with traditional techniques. Artists must be 18 years old or older to apply, with international applicants eligible to participate in the residency.


Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant

These monthly grants range from $500–$3,000, with the average amount being $1,700. Visual and performing artists whose work has a contemporary, experimental nature and who have a US Tax ID Number can apply.


Nancy Norton Tomasko Scholarship

The Nancy Norton Tomasko Scholarship fund is dedicated to providing financial support for individuals wishing to learn more about the book arts. The Center will award scholarships covering the full tuition and materials for one course per individual. Awardees are selected based on financial need and proof of having satisfied the prerequisites for the desired course. Please fill out and submit the following form at least three weeks before the start date of the workshop to be considered for financial assistance.
