Submissions for ArtFields, an annual competition and exhibition in Lake City, South Carolina, are now open. Organized by the Lake City ArtFields Collective, accepted artists are part of a celebration of art and community while they compete for over $100,000 in prizes, plus Southeastern Partner awards that include exhibitions and residencies. Adult artists of all working media who reside in the competition’s 12 participating Southeastern states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia) are invited to apply.

The Ransom Center 2026-2027 Fellowship Program

The Ransom Center will award up to 50 research fellowships for its 2026–2027 program. We offer funding to graduate students, current and former academic faculty at any level of career, and independent researchers such as journalists and artists, who require archival research at the Center for their projects. Fellowships of varying lengths (from one week to two months) are offered for research projects that require substantial on-site use of collections that span a variety of disciplines.
VIA Art Fund Artistic Production Grant

VIA Art Fund is accepting letters of inquiry (LOIs) for their Artist Production grant program. The grant awards individual artists, nonprofit organizations, and institutions $25,000-100,000 in support of new artistic commissions that take place outside museum or gallery walls, within the public realm, or in nontraditional exhibition environments. Project must have a confirmed exhibition venue and confirmed artist.
MAKE Animation Thesis Grant

Velvetpark LGBTQ+ Writers Residency 2026

The Hopper Prize Artist Grants

The Hopper Prize is accepting submissions for $4,500 and $1,000 artist grants, totaling $13,000. Two artists will each receive $4,500, and four artists will each receive $1,000. This is an international open call, and all visual media are eligible. The prize provides a direct path to get your work in front of an international community of curators, artists, gallerists, and arts administrators. Additional exposure is available via a 30-artist shortlist, online journal, and Instagram, currently reaching over 150,000.

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program (APP), Miami-Dade Aviation Department, and Miami-Dade County Seaport request qualifications for artists to be considered to make full proposals to create new artworks for the Mandich Cold Chain facility at Miami International Airport. The selected artist(s) will develop proposals for unique artwork applications that will contribute to the identity of the facility and engage employees, visitors and passers-by in unexpected and delightful ways. Uncle Bob’s Photo Zine & Book Market

Uncle Bob’s Photo Zine & Book Market is a fair celebrating regional photography through small publishers and self-published zines and books. This year, they will be an official part of the FotoFest Biennial 2026. The photo world is one of the largest sectors in both the art book and self-publishing markets. Its wide expressive potential—and its deep impact across culture and commerce—has led to a vibrant range of publishing practices, from hand-crafted zines to carefully designed small press books. The Caribbean Writer Accepting Submissions

The Caribbean Writer (TCW) has issued a call for submissions for Volume 40 under the 2026 theme: 40 years of The Caribbean Writer: A Spectrum of Representation. The journal also accepts black and white art (line drawings, sketches, block prints, etc.). In addition to the usual call for creative works, we are also issuing a Call for Papers (CFP) focused on the diverse themes explored in The Caribbean Writer over the years, highlighting how our shared humanity emerges through the discourse present in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. As always, contributors may submit works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essays, or one-act plays around the theme “40 years of The Caribbean Writer: A Spectrum of Representation,” exploring the ideas resonating within the region and its diaspora. The Caribbean should be central to the work or reflect a Caribbean heritage, experience, or perspective.
Bernheim Forest 2025 Artist in Residence Program

The Bernheim Forest residency awards up to 4 residencies a year to artists whose art ignites wonder, sparks curiosity, and brings people closer to nature. The program includes a $2,500 stipend along with the opportunity to live at Bernheim Forest and create site specific work inspired by their total immersion experience in the natural environment. One residency is always dedicated to an artist currently living in Kentucky or nearby counties in Southern Indiana; and one residency is dedicated to an artist whose work addresses environmental issues and the climate crisis. They encourage visual artists of all mediums to apply.
The Southern Prize and State Fellowships

This state-specific prize of $5,000 is awarded to artists whose work reflects the best of the visual arts in the South. The nine state fellowship recipients will compete for the $25,000 Southern Prize, which will be awarded to the artist whose work demonstrates the highest artistic excellence. A runner-up will be awarded $10,000.

The Malamegi Lab Art Award
