Universal Access Artist in Residence

Initiated in 2018, the Universal Access Artist Residency is for artists who identify as having a disability. This month-long residency provides funding, studio space, and professional support for a national artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. During the residency the artist works in the gallery where the work will be exhibited.

Bottoms Up: Contemporary Ceramics in the South, A Juried Cup Show will be held at Artspace this spring 2025. This exhibition celebrates the outstanding achievements of contemporary ceramic artists in the Southeast while providing an accessible way for new and established collectors to engage with these artists and their works. Artists working in the Southeast are eligible to apply, with the Southeast being defined as Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

This call has a $25 application fee.

Artspace seeks exhibition proposals from visual artists and curators across the U.S. for the 2026 exhibition cycle through early 2027 in Gallery 1 and Gallery 2. Open to professional, mid-career and established artists and curators residing in the U.S. Two-person or group proposals by artists are also welcomed.


Open Experimental Studio Residency

The Open Experimental Studio Residency at LSU’s Glassell Gallery invites artists to transform the space into an open studio, facilitating hands-on creative experiences for the community while exploring their own practice. This month-long residency in June 2025 offers a $3,000 stipend, an $875 materials budget, and 24-hour access.


School of The Alternative Student 2025 Application

Open to emerging and established artists, as well as multidisciplinary teams, the program offers awards of $15,000 and $30,000 to bring innovative, ecologically responsible projects to life.


Georgia State University Call for MAT Applications

The Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design at Georgia State University, Atlanta, features an internationally-active faculty and a rigorous curriculum that prepares students for professional careers in art and design. The school’s NASAD-accredited graduate programs include an MAT in Art Education and an MFA in Studio Art with concentrations in Ceramics, Drawing and Painting, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography & Expanded Media, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Textiles. These full-time degree programs encourage excellence through experimentation, cross- disciplinary pursuits, and critical analysis of existing ideas about art, pedagogy, and art history.

Azule Artist Residency Mountain Retreat

As an emerging community-based organization, Azule has developed a residency program for performers, writers, architects, builders, musicians, and artists of all types. Located on 35 rural acres in Western North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Azule’s facility is the result of decades of work by local craftsmen, using predominantly locally harvested or reused materials and constructed with traditional techniques.


Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant

These monthly grants range from $500–$3,000, with the average amount being $1,700. Visual and performing artists whose work has a contemporary, experimental nature and who have a US Tax ID Number can apply.


Nancy Norton Tomasko Scholarship

The Nancy Norton Tomasko Scholarship fund is dedicated to providing financial support for individuals wishing to learn more about the book arts. The Center will award scholarships covering the full tuition and materials for one course per individual. Awardees are selected based on financial need and proof of having satisfied the prerequisites for the desired course. Please fill out and submit the following form at least three weeks before the start date of the workshop to be considered for financial assistance.

Hellmouth Magazine is a non-profit dedicated to publishing quality cultural commentary, literature, personal essays, and art. They aim to foster meaningful dialogue between multiple spheres of influence, encouraging cultural exchange through engaging and provocative compositions. Some categories of work include: commentary, theory, philosophy, exhibition reviews, visual analysis of art,  short stories, poetry, personal essays, op-eds, thoroughly researched investigative or academic inquiries, personal gripes, outlandish claims, unfounded opinions, tall tales, and ancient soliloquies.
