Virginia Walcott

Virginia Walcott (she/her) is an artist, designer, and filmmaker from the Gulf Coast of Alabama. In her practice, she uses video, installation, and multidisciplinary applications to play with and reframe the realities of modern life. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she worked as a Designer and Video Producer for The Atlantic and a Visual Editor for Scalawag Magazine before launching her own creative studio. She lives in New Orleans where she teaches at various art centers and is an active member of Staple Goods, a cooperatively-run gallery in the St. Roch neighborhood.
