Artist, curator, and writer Paul Bright visits the Greensboro studio of Mariam Aziza Stephan, a painter using abstract landscapes to explore themes of loss.
Paul Bright is an artist, curator and writer. He uses collage as an approach across mediums, including paper, sound, video, and performance, in exhibitions nationally and abroad. In 2022, an exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Winston-Salem (formerly SECCA) surveyed a decade of his work. He has curated exhibitions highlighting a range of artists, including John Cage, Chrisitian Marclay, Kate Shepherd, Robert Motherwell, and Terry Adkins. Bright curated Dread Scott’s All African People’s Consulate for the 2024 Venice Biennale.
