Mario Andrés Rodriguez visits the Miami studio of Karla Kantorovich to speak on the artist's use of earthy materials and nature as grounding to her practice.
Mario Andrés Rodriguez is a curator, writer, and gallerist in Miami, Florida. Mario started working as a gallery assistant in New Orleans while pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Tulane University. After graduating, he worked as a curator and arts administrator for The Contemporary Art Modern Project Gallery, curating shows in the gallery space in North Miami and MoCa Westport. He most recently opened Supermarket Gallery with two business partners, to highlight local contemporary artists while also welcoming Miamians of all backgrounds, collector or not. Recently, Mario has also contributed to the Visual Arts section of the Miami New Times and participated in Burnaway’s 2024 Art Writing Incubator.
