Ifeanyi Awachie

Ifeanyi Awachie is a Nigeria-born, Atlanta-raised writer, scholar, and filmmaker. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and an Adjunct Professor in the Cinema, Television, and Emerging Media Studies Department at Morehouse College. She is the writer and director of “This Thing Is Not for You” (2022), produced by WATZS Productions. She is also the founder of AFRICA SALON, a contemporary African arts festival, and was previously Assistant Curator at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts. Her writing appears in publications including Seen Journal, Feminist Review, and ASAP/J.
