
Burnaway Emergency Writers Grant

In recognition of the dire threats to freelancers’ livelihoods posed by the current pandemic, Burnaway will distribute cash grants of $500 to five Southern critics and culture writers facing financial emergencies due to COVID-19.Freelance critics and culture writers living and working in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia are eligible to apply for this grant.
Rose Fellowship

Architects, socially-engaged creative practitioners, teaching artists, and culture bearers working in all disciplines can apply for this fellowship. The program partners architects and artists with local community development organizations to develop an inclusive approach that creates and preserves sustainable, healthy and affordable communities.
AFIELD Mentorship Program

Artists will be granted $1,500 of seed funding to develop their initiatives and will receive advice from a mentor, meant to encourage and support early initiatives in their initial development.
Center for Craft Craft Futures Grant

The Craft Futures Fund will award up to six project grants, or $30,000, each month from May – October 2020 and applications will be selected by lottery and reviewed by selection panels on a monthly basis.

The Burke Prize

Museum of Art and Design’s Burke Prize, worth an unrestricted $50,000, is a contemporary art prize for a new generation of artists working in a world of expanded media with a foundation in glass, fiber, clay, metal, or wood.
NARS Foundation International Artist Residency

The New York Art Residency and Studios (NARS) residency supports emerging and mid-career artists and curators working across all disciplines through three and six-month residencies. The program is open to both international and US-based artists, creating a shared space for artistic dialogue and international cultural exchange for an extended period of time.

Baltic is the host of five residencies that take place around the world: Stockholm, Sweden; London, England; the village of Brora on the eastern coast of the Scottish Highlands; Blackacre State Nature Preserve & Historic Homestead in Kentucky; and a residency devoted to underrepresented writers takes places in either the Old Louisville neighborhood of Louisville, KY or in the woods of Asheville, NC.
