Talk: Rainey Knudson of Glasstire at Atlanta Contemporary on Sept. 15

BURNAWAY is pleased to present a public talk by Rainey Knudson, the founder of Glasstire, the online magazine about visual art in Texas. Join us on September 15 at the Atlanta Contemporary for what promises to be an engaging and informative talk about her reasons for founding Glasstire in Houston 15 years ago, how Glasstire has changed over the years, and the challenges and rewards of regional art criticism. What role does art writing–particularly negative criticism–play in cities like Houston and Atlanta? And how can an online magazine help sustain a city’s art scene?

Rainey is in town to be a mentor in BURNAWAY’s Art Writers Mentorship Program, now in its successful, star-studded fourth cycle. Click here to learn more!

The talk is free and open to the public!

When: Thursday, September 15, 7pm

Where: Atlanta Contemporary

Will this talk be recorded/posted? I can’t make the event but would like to see it.
