In the spirit of NADA Miami 2023 and Burnaway's presentation of For Keeps Bookstore alongside Atlanta-based artist Ato Ribeiro's work, Burnaway revisits former editor Jasmine Amussen's deep-dive into playing anarchic games in the library and finding an archivist's fever dream on Auburn Avenue.
“Place is important to my work, coming from a place that is determined in other people’s imagination,” said Joiri Minaya, a multidisciplinary artist from the Dominican Republic. Minaya’s work engages with Camouflage, one of Burnaway’s 2023 themes.
