BURNAWAY is heading down to Miami again for the annual pilgrimage to the art fairs. From December 4 to 9, team members including Laura Hennighausen, Susannah Darrow, Sandy Hooper, and Jeremy Abernathy (plus special guests) will bring Miami to Atlanta via this Storify. Make sure you check back here for daily updates on what we see (and get into) during our time in Miami.

I have to say this is some piss poor coverage you guys did. Glad you enjoyed the grant money on your artsy vacation though.

      Hi Whateves

Thanks for your comment. This storify was not intended to be the full extent of our coverage – while in Miami we conducted several interviews that will appear on BA at a later time. This was merely intended to serve as a slideshow of what we saw over the weekend via social media.

Please check back for more coverage on the fairs.

Also, please rest assured that although BA did contribute some to the travel arrangements of the Executive Director and Editor, additional contributors such as myself paid to visit Miami for the fairs out of pocket.

If you would like to contribute to BA, please email our editor!

      Hi Whateves,

Just to follow up with Laura, I want to let you know that our “coverage” of Miami will be up over the next week-week and a half with video coverage and interviews, a conversation between two artists that attended with their impressions of the work displayed this year, among other follow up. This is intended as a slideshow of the week that will be followed with more substantial content.

Please note that the travel for this program was not funded by grants, but any coverage that does come from it will be appropriate to any funds we have received. If you have any questions or concerns about how grant funds are allocated please refer to our 990 or any other public records that have that information.

      Thanks for reading.
