The Millay Colony
Location: Chatham, NY
The Millay Colony in upstate New York next to the home and garden of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay invites 6-7 artists twice a year — August thru November or April thru July. Artists of all ages, disciplines and career stages are encouraged to apply.  Head here for more information.

Brush Creek Arts 
Location: Laramie, WY
Brush Creek Foundation for The Arts is a non-profit organization offering time and space for artistic exploration to visual artists, writers, musicians and composers from all backgrounds, level of expertise, media and genres. Two separate three week residency sessions are offered per year depending on availability and applicant’s ranking in jury process.Check it out here.

Location: Georgia

This open call is available to all artists 18 years of age and older, living in the state of Georgia. The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA) is calling all Georgia artists for its 4th installment of the biennial exhibition Gathered IV: Georgia Artists Selecting Georgia Artists. The selected artists will be alerted by March 22, with the exhibition opening on April 20th at MOCA GA. For more info please click here.

The Kerouac Project of Orlando
Location: Orlando, FL
Writers of all backgrounds and education levels are encouraged to apply for this residency in the cottage where Jack Kerouac wrote his novel Dharma Bums. Submissions are accepted in the following categories: Poetry, Fiction/Short Story, Nonfiction, Play, and Screenplay. For more information and to apply, visit here.

Location: Woodside, CA
Residencies at Djerassi are awarded competitively, at no cost, to national and international artists in the disciplines of choreography, literature, music composition, visual arts, and media arts/new genres. We seek applications from emerging and midcareer artists for whom appointments as resident artists may make a significant difference to their careers, as well as from established artists with national and/or international reputations. Applicants are evaluated by panels of arts professionals in each category. Those selected are offered living and studio space for a 30-day session during the season, which runs from mid-April through mid-November. Please check out the application page here.

Georgia Artists 2019
Location: Atlanta, GA
Georgia Artists: A Juried Exhibition showcases the phenomenal artistic talents of artists living and working in the state of Georgia. The exhibition awards $1000 for best in show and $800 dollars in other prizes. Georgia Artists will take place at Abernathy Arts Center from May 3 – June 14, 2019. A two person jury, InKyoung Chun and Judie Raiford, will review artist submissions to determine which work will be shown in the 2019 exhibition. Our 2019 judge, Craig Drennen, will review the works after installation to determine which works will receive awards.

The Core Program

Location: Houston, TX

The Core Program awards residencies to visual artists and critical writers who have completed their undergraduate or graduate training and are working to develop a sustainable practice.
