Metal Museum : Tributaries

Location: Memphis, TN

Tributaries is open to metalsmiths of all ages and at all stages of their careers. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Once you have applied to Tributaries, your application is held for five years. Previous exhibitors in Tributaries will not be accepted. For more information and to fill out an application, go here.

Hatch Training Intensive 

Location: Atlanta, GA

C4 Atlanta’s Hatch Training Intensive is aimed at artists working on or for community centered projects to help improve sustainability and outcomes for all involved stakeholders. Twelve artists will be selected for this training, which takes place over four weekends with a final presentation in December. The tuition for this program is 360$, with payment plans available for artists who are accepted. For more information, go here.

Foundworks Artist Prize

Location: Nationwide

The Foundwork Artist Prize is a new juried grant that will be awarded this fall to an outstanding artist chosen on Foundwork. The winner will receive an unrestricted $10,000 dollar grant, as well as a studio visit with each of the jurors. For more information, go here.

Center for Craft

Location: Nationwide

Awards of 20,000$ will be given to two artists who are seeking support for research around their craft or art making practices. This award is specifically for mid career artists (not emerging or beginning artists) who would not be able to seek out this research otherwise. For more information, go here.

Crosstown Arts

Location: Memphis, TN

Crosstown Arts Residency offers multidisciplinary programs open to artists and curators working in any field. This is designed for projects that address the intersection of racial and social inequality, and includes a $2,000 stipend. For more information, go here.

Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant

Location: Nationwide

This grant offers assistance of up to 2500$ for unforeseen expenses. Open to artists working across all fields. Emergency Grants is the only active, multi-disciplinary program that offers immediate assistance of this kind to artists living and working anywhere in the United States, for projects occurring in the U.S. and abroad.

Each month FCA receives an average of 95 Emergency Grant applications and makes approximately 12-15 grants. Grants range in amount from $500 to $2,500, and the average grant is now $1,600.

Yaddo

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY

Yaddo is a supportive communal working environment in upstate New York. All disciplines are encouraged to apply — the application fee is 30$ with a 5-10$ media upload fee.

Virginia Center for the Creative Arts: Anne Spencer Fellowship

Location: Amherst, VA

The Anne Spencer Fellowship honors Anne Spencer, noted poet, teacher, civil rights activist, librarian, gardener, and longtime resident of Lynchburg, Virginia. The Anne Spencer Fellowship provides a fully-funded one-month residency and rotates annually between the genres served at VCCA. Applications are open to African-American visual artists, both locally and nationally.

The Bascom Education Fellowship

Location: Highlands, NC

The Education Fellowship is a 3-12 month position under the supervision of the Director of Education and Outreach as the lead instructor for regional pre-K, K-12, college, adult, and senior groups that partner with The Bascom. Fellows are provided with monthly stipend, shared housing, studio space, as well as exhibition opportunity.
