Hey, Hot Shot! International Photography Competition
Selected photographers will win prizes totaling $15,000, inclusion in the Hot Shot Exhibition in New York City and more.

The Hey, Hot Shot! International Photography Competition, one part of Jen Bekman Projects, is now holding a call for entries. Initially, five artists will be awarded a $500 honorarium, participation in the 2012 Hot Shot Exhibition at Jen Bekman Gallery in New York City, and the opportunity to release an edition on 20×200. Of those five, one grand prize winner will receive $10,000, a solo exhibition at Jen Bekman Gallery, and representation from the gallery for two years. For more details, click here.
Athens Slingshot 2013 Call for Entries
Chosen artists will have their work displayed at a two-day showcase of music and innovative art work in Athens, Georgia.
Deadline: November 15
Athens Slingshot is an event that will take place March 8-9, 2013 which will serve to “slingshot” local and national musical acts on to South by Southwest which will take place in Austin, Texas March 12-16, 2013. Athens Slingshot organizers are also seeking to showcase non-traditional art forms in genres such as interactivity, social media, performance, sound, sited and locative works, and works integrated with the urban environment. Atlantic Center for the Arts Master Artist-In-Residence Program
Selected artists will participate in a three week residency in New Smyrna Beach, Florida in the spring of 2013.
Deadline: November 18
Three Master Artists selected by the Atlantic Center for the Arts will each choose eight associate artists to participate in the Master Artist Residency Program beginning February 18 and ending March 10, 2013. Artists will have access to a painting studio, sculpture studio, digital media studio, dance studio, music and recording studio, writers’ studio, black box theatre and library. Dave Bown Projects 5th Semiannual Competition
Selected artists will have their work showcased on the Dave Bown Projects website and will be eligible to win prizes totaling $15,000.
Deadline: November 30
In this 5th Semiannual Competition held by Dave Bown Projects based in New York City, 25 visual artists will be chosen to have their work displayed on the website. One of these artists will win a prize of $10,000 and five more artists will receive a prize of $1,000. For a complete list of submission details, click here.
Atlanta Underground Film Festival Call for Entries
Chosen artists will gain exposure through screenings of their work and networking opportunities at the 2013 festival.
Deadline: November 30
The next Atlanta Underground Film Festival will take place at The Goat Farm September 19-22, 2013. The festival officials are now accepting short films, and feature films including documentaries, narratives, animated films and more for the Early Bird Deadline of November 30. Big Cypress National Preserve Artist-In-Residence Program
Artists will be chosen to spend a short or long term residency in Big Cypress National Preserve in Ochopee, Florida, which neighbors the Everglades.
Deadline: November 30
The Artist-In-Residence Program at Big Cypress National Preserve offers professional writers, composers, and visual and performing artists the opportunity to create work while drawing inspiration from the surrounding natural environment and wildlife. Selected artists will live in a dormitory-style setting while spending a short term (less than one month) or long term (one to three months) residency during either the wet or dry season. Georgia Council for the Arts Call for Entries
Chosen contemporary artists currently residing in Georgia will have their work displayed in the offices of the State Capitol.
Deadline: December 7
The Georgia Council for the Arts is now accepting visual art submissions from residents of southwest Georgia for consideration for a rotating exhibit titled “The Art of Georgia: Celebrating Georgia’s Landscapes and People.” Submission deadlines for residents of Metro Atlanta and other regions of Georgia will be staggered throughout 2013.
