More retro clipart at http://www.clipartof.com/On Monday, December 15, Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue begins accepting applications for its 2014 awards cycle for artists living in the 23-county Atlanta area.

The deadline is March 15, 2014, and winners will be announced later that spring. Artists at all career stages and working in any medium are encouraged to apply. Five artists will be selected by a jury comprising museum professionals; three of them will receive $3,000 each, and two will get $15,000 a piece. The online application can be found here.

The New York-based foundation was established in San Francisco in 1997 by investment banker Christopher E. Vroom, with a mission to support artists living outside New York and Los Angeles. In 16 years, it has given over $3 million to about 270 artists in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, and the San Francisco Bay Area.

This will be Artadia’s third Atlanta cycle. Previous recipients have included: Tristan Al-Haddad, Ruth Dusseault, Gyun Hur, John Q, Jason Kofke, Lynn Marshall-Linnemeier, Fahamu Pecou, Rocio Rodriguez, and Micah Stansell.
