Here’s a peek at the five finalist public art projects for the inaugural FIELD EXPERIMENT prize, which can be seen between 7 and 10pm through June 5 at the Goat Farm Arts Center in Atlanta. They were selected from 130 applications from 44 cities in 5 countries, with four of the five finalists being from Atlanta. Here’s a look at their projects, which premiered on May 30 at the Hambidge Auction and Gala at the Goat Farm Arts Center, the project’s organizers.
The winner will be selected by Hambidge director Jamie Badoud, Goat Farm cofounder Anthony Harper, Zuckerman Museum curator Teresa Bramlette Reeves, artist and gallerist Ben Goldman, and Mark diNatale, operations and programming manager at the Goat Farm.
The winning project will be realized this fall with a $20,000 prize. The official winner will be announced on June 5, as will our unofficial People’s Choice winner. Voting ends on June 5 at 5pm.
