MARCH
KINETICA: Movement in Art
Open call to professional artists, students, designers, engineers, etc. to participate in an exhibition on the theme of movement to be displayed at Manifest in Cincinnati, OH.
Deadline: March 11
KINETICA is a cross disiplinary exhibition that will feature work that either incorporates literal movement or in some way depicts movement. Pieces included in the exhibition will be selected by a panel of jurors and on view in the main gallery space at Manifest in Cincinnati’s the East Walnut Hills neighborhood. 100 Painters of Tomorrow
Open call for painters to be included in the forthcoming major publication 100 Painters of Tomorrow.
Deadline: March 15
100 Painters of Tomorrow is a print publication that will be released by Thames & Hudson in 2014. Submissions will be judged by an international jury of prominent artists, curators, and arts writers. Publication of 100 Painters of Tomorrow will coincide with a major exhibition of painting at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. Flux Night 2013
Open call for proposals for fourth annual Flux Night to take place in Atlanta’s Castleberry Hill neighborhood in October 2013.
Deadline: March 22
Atlanta based Flux Projects will once again take over Castleberry Hill with their annual Flux Night event on October 5, 2013. London-based curator Helena Reckitt, along with a committee made up of members the Flux Projects board and staff, will select proposed projects based around the curatorial theme of “Free Association.” Full details and application information are available here.

Elevate 2013
Request for proposals for public art projects for the Elevate public art exhibition to be on view in Downtown Atlanta in October.

The Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs has released a call for project proposals for this year’s Elevate exhibition of public art in Downtown Atlanta. This call is open to individual artists and organizations. The past two years of Elevate have brought works from local and international artists ranging from performance, sculpture, and installation to the Downtown neighborhood. For full details, click here.
Charlotte Street Foundation: Curator-in-Residence 2013-14
Open call for emerging curators for a 10-month curatorial residency at the Charlotte Street Foundation in Kansas City, MO.
Deadline: April 1
Kansas City’s Charlotte Street Foundation, an arts advocacy organization and exhibition space, is seeking emerging curators to apply for a 10-month curatorial residency. During the course of the residency, the selected curator will conceive exhibitions and develop programming that will engage the arts community in the Kansas City region and beyond. Material Witness
Open call for new recent works in all media by women to be exhibited at the Dalton Gallery at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA.

The Women’s Caucus for Art of Georgia has released an open call for submissions for Material Witness, an exhibition of recent works by self-identified women artists which will be on view at Agnes Scott College’s Dalton Gallery from September to November 2013. Open call for proposals for temporary public projects on the Atlanta Beltline.

The Atlanta Beltline seeks proposals for temporary sculpture, installations, and performance works to be a part of the fourth annual Art on the Atlanta Beltline exhibition of public art.
