    From today’s press release:

Gyun Hur Installation Begins at Lenox:

    Monday, February 28

Today, February 28, Gyun Hur will begin installing Spring Hiatus inside Lenox Square mall in front of Macy’s. This project continues Hur’s series of intricate rainbow installations in which deconstructed silk flowers inspire recollections of her past and ties to Korea and her family. For the first time, the audience will be invited to see the artist’s work in progress.

The installation schedule is as follows:

    - February 28 – March 11: installation in progress Monday – Saturday 1-8 pm, Sunday noon-6 pm

    - March 12 – 25: completed installation on view during mall hours

    - March 26 – 30: de-installation Monday – Saturday 1-8 pm, Sunday noon-6 pm

    - March 12, 2-5 pm: Hur will be on site to discuss her work with audience members.

The first of three Flux Films on Spring Hiatus can be viewed at http://www.fluxprojects.org/springhiatus/. As with all Flux Films, these are being created by Proper Medium.

Flux Projects is grateful for the support of Get This! Gallery on this project.
