The Atlanta Botanical Gardens’ upcoming Henry Moore exhibit should be a candidate for the exhibit of the year for Atlanta arts. The traveling show is coming to us from the Kew Royal Gardens. The outdoor exhibition features Moore’s supine female figures which are some of the pillars of Modern Sculpture. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens has started a blog, Moore in America, that will feature snapshots of the installation and information on the history of the project and Moore’s career leading up to the exhibition. We can expect contributions from various Moore experts and hopefully a behind-the-scenes glimpse on how these gigantic sculptures are making their way to our fair city.
